Revelations 11:15 - I want to go on a horse and buggy ride
Here’s the arts I made for the Rochester 6x6 show coming up soon!
I made a lot of cat art, naturally.
Sequins doesn’t scan well.
Just the upstairs for now. It’s a three story house that we share with another couple (Cara of sewindieshop, hipsterfood and Chickpea Mag and her bf Bob) but the attic space is sort of our studio apartment-esque area. Here’s the tour and some kitties to boot.

Oh hey, welcome. I noticed you walked up the stairs backwards, maybe you should turn around for the remainder of the tour because that was creepy, yo.

Because the walls are all slanty upstairs (you’ll see in a minute) the space isn’t really conducive to wall art, especially posters. So I hung all the posters I couldn’t live without on the walls of the “foyer” if you will. I’d eventually like to have way more art up here, some framed, some not. I want it to feel like the entrance to a super cool music club or artsy-fartsy coffee house or something.

One of my favorite things about this space was that Cara and Bob had a lot of shelving installed, which is super useful because I admittedly have a knick-knack problem. :)

To the right when you come up the stairs is a walk-in closet I converted into a little sewing nook. The fabulous cabinet that C&B graciously let me use holds all of my fabrics perfectly and my sewing table fits nicely right across from it. I’m also hanging some of my fancier dresses in here.

On the left of the stairs is my little office/art cubby.

We have our record player, records and sketchbooks stored here, so excited I finally got to use these incredible retro chicken curtains. Sadly I don’t have speakers to hook up to my record player yet so the whole thing is sort of for show right now.

Here I’ve got art supplies and fun stuff. And the kitties litter box, whatevs.

I got this excellent desk at work for $15. So much storage I almost literally cannot. Let Loki show you the view.

Here’s another awesome piece of furniture that C&B are letting us use and Max’s computer workstation.

Here’s some goodies that we have on top of the dresser.

There’s our little sleeping area tucked in the back. I was initailly pretty disappointed when we couldn’t fit our full bed up the stairs but I think it worked out well. It’s like a little love nest. And no matter how bright it is outside it’s dark in the sleeping corner. And how amazing is that skylight? Seriously.

On the other side of the bed is a little entertainment area…

And more goodies of course.

“Let us show you out.”

Byyyyyyyyyye.

“Come back soon, pls.”
