Cats like this really bum me out. I mean, god knows this cat is adorable and stuff and if it were mine I’d love it forever. But cat’s faces aren’t supposed to be that flat. I mean, look at it’s eyes. They’re about to pop right out. Not to mention cats with pushed in noses develop respiratory problems. It can’t be a comfortable life. Poor little guy. :( Breeding animals to look like cartoons ain’t cool, y’all.

CUTE! Is it creepy that I still remember your pet turkey? That little guy was real cute, too.OH MY GOD, GIRL. You’re like a real legit internet friend for remembering that. Ziggaboo was a super cool giant bird who would come up and talk to me everytime I would go out to feed the chickens and follow me around the yard and eat out of my hand and come up and hang out until I picked her up.
Every spring, when the chickens don’t hatch their own babies or the flock gets too low, we go to the farm supply store and pick out a few baby chicks from the giant bins. They hang out in the house for a while in a little cage and we handle them lots so they get acclimated to humans and tame. One year, I strayed from the chickenbins and ended up staring into a bin of much larger, much dumber birds. Turkeys!!!! My mom let me get a turkey and I brought her home.
I loved this turkey, but she broke my heart. Turkeys are bred for FOOD and not for pets for over attached young girls and she got so chest heavy and fat she couldn’t walk, and I couldn’t bear to let anyone chop off her head or shoot her so we took her to the vet my sister worked at and they put her to sleep and I sat in the parking lot and cried.

Fantastic Portraits of Farm Animals
“I take the conventions from the fashion world and apply them to the underclass barnyard animal,” Rob MacInnis told The New York Times. These are great.
My favorites:
Alright this is some Dr. Doolittle shit because do you know how hard it is to get one animal to look at a camera let alone 6 or more??
These are great, tho. Animal photography is my favorite and I want to photograph animals for a living.
I just got a text from my sister that Wiener, one of my dogs back home in Michigan, was put down.
Wiener was the first animal in my life that I ever truly loved like he was a part of my family. I remember when we got him. He was just a puppy and he used to wiggle all over when you picked him up. He was very mischievous and that’s why my family named him Snoopy. I always hated that name because he looked nothing like Snoopy. He was always Wiener to me.
He was very fat for a Daschund. He was such a roly poly fellow and I think the reason I loved him so much is because I could relate to him. He felt like my kindred in dog form. When people first met him they’d laugh at how fat he was. I could sympathize.
One time I snuzzled up close to him and he bit my face. I think I scared him. I had to go to the emergency room and they made me talk to animal control. I was so scared they were going to take him and have him put down for biting me. I fought for him all the way and a week or two later when my grandma had her heart attack, she told everyone in the emergency room the story and said, “She cared more about the dog than being hurt.” I have scars on my nose from the bite and I never thought I’d be able to look on them fondly but right now I feel like they’ll always remind me of him. Even if they remind me of a not so great memory of him.
The last time I was home to visit, Wiener had a tumor on his back. It was jarringly large and scary. I was mad at my grandparents for not taking him to a vet to get it treated when it first formed but I know they struggle with money so much that I’m sure that was a problem for them. They loved Wiener just as much as I did and never wanted him to suffer. I know that’s why they put him down today. And I don’t believe in heaven but I feel comforted knowing he’s not hurting anymore.
Snoopy, Wiener, Papiae, The Velvet Teddybear - You taught me that animals can be friends. I love you and I’ll miss you. <3
If you know of anyone who would be interested in Berdina please contact me. She is currently in D.C. but could be transported to Indiana over Zombie Jesus weekend. She needs to be an only dog and has a great personality. I could probably transport her to you from Indiana or meet half way.
Please reblog!
Someone adopt this sweet puppy!! <3
